Sumit Nanda

Sumeet Nanda is the Chairman and Managing Director of Golden State Capital Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based family office with a strategic focus on real estate private equity investments across India and the United States. A seasoned entrepreneur and investor, Mr. Nanda has successfully founded and led multiple ventures, including Dr. Fresh Assets and Golden State Capital, with an active investment footprint spanning the U.S. and Asia.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Hindu College, University of Delhi, and is an alumnus of the prestigious Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. In addition to his business pursuits, Mr. Nanda is deeply committed to social impact and philanthropy through his involvement with The Hans Foundation, one of India’s leading charitable organizations.

Currently, Mr. Nanda is spearheading the operations and management of two hydro power projects in Sikkim under the DANS Group, bringing his expertise in infrastructure and energy to further strengthen the group’s renewable energy portfolio. His leadership across diverse geographies and sectors underscores his dynamic approach to building sustainable and value-driven enterprises.

Naresh Kumra

Naresh has been an Entrepreneur since 2012 and Investor / Advisor to Entrepreneurs since 2006.  He has invested directly in over 25 ventures and is a limited partner in 7 venture capital funds.  He is currently incubating multiple new ventures.

After graduating from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi with a computer science & engineering degree, Naresh started his career with the electronics division of Schlumberger [NYSE: SLB] in France.  He subsequently attended the Darden Business School at University of Virginia, where he received the coveted Shermet Award for academic excellence and contributions to peer learning.  Post MBA, Naresh worked with the global consulting firm McKinsey & Company in New York area and with Belden [NYSE: BDC] as President Asia Pacific.

Naresh started his entrepreneurial journey through a management buy-in (MBI) of JMATEK Limited, a family trading company, and led its transformation to a global leader in home comfort solutions.  The company achieved 9-year business plan in under 4-years, growing sales 2.8x, expanding gross margins by over 1200bp and achieving high-teens EBITDA margins.

Naresh is the recipient of 4 US Innovation Patents.  In December 2009, Naresh was awarded the “Outstanding Entrepreneurship Award” by Enterprise Asia for “outstanding performance and tenacity in developing successful businesses within the region”.
